String Quartet announces 2006-07 concert season
October 8, 2006 3 p.m.
SSQ with Julie Ayer, violin
Julie Ayer, sister of SSQ’s longtime second violinist Jane Ayer
Blegen, lives in Minneapolis and runs her own chamber music series there.
Julie will join Tana, Jeannette, and Helen for an afternoon of quartets
featuring the Brahms Quartet in A minor.
December 3, 2006 3 p.m.
SSQ with Misha Rosenker, violin
Misha Rosenker, Professor of Violin and Viola at EWU, joins the SSQ
for the first of two performances in this year’s series. The all-quartet
program will conclude with the familiar melodies of Borodin’s
lushly romantic Quartet No. 2 in D Major.

SCMA presents Kendall Feeney, piano, Misha Rosenker, violin, and
John Marshall, cello
The Chamber Music Association is pleased to present these favorite
performers of Spokane audiences in a program headlined by the Ravel
Piano Trio.
April 15, 2007 3 p.m.
SSQ with Meredith Arksey, violin
The Quartet is excited to present the U.S. premiere of John Pickard’s
String Quartet No. 4. Mr. Pickard is a British composer and the Editor
of the Critical Edition of the works of Sir Edward Elgar. Through
a generous grant we are able to have Mr. Pickard with us for a short
residency,
and we are eagerly anticipating his time here. We welcome the return
of Meredith Arksey to the SSQ series for this concert.

SSQ with Stacy Wetzel, violin, and Minor Wetzel, viola
Don’t miss this homecoming concert. Mick Wetzel hails originally
from Almira, WA. He and his wife, Stacy, are currently members of the
Los Angeles Philharmonic. They will be joining us for a Mother’s
Day program highlighted by the wonderful richness of the Bruckner Quintet
in F Major.
